Hello,

 My name is Maria Boznos and I am the Store Manager at J.Jill in the Burr Ridge Village Center. We are currently looking to hire part time associates. In particular we are in need of people who can work the closing shift.  Specifically, between 4-8:30p, or 5 or 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Once a month we have floor sets which may require a shift that runs until 10:00 or 11:00 pm.

State University Transfer Day

Wednesday, Feb. 22

Student Services Center (SSC), Atrium

Representatives from all 12 Illinois state universities will speak with students and community members during this free event. COD graduates with associate’s degrees and students working on their degrees will learn about transfer opportunities, while prospective students can find out how earning a degree at COD can help them transfer easily to a state university.

Study Abroad Scholarships!

Any student who is interested in studying abroad make sure to fill out an application for a scholarship.  Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Field Studies office, BIC 3509 or online at www.cod.edu/academics/field/studyabroad/scholarships.aspx .  Students can be awarded up to $1500 to help fund study abroad! 

 The deadline for Summer 2017 scholarships is Monday, February 20, 2017.

Visual Merchandising class starts Feb. 17th.

No prerequisite necessary!

Fashi 1620-001 Visual Merchandising meets Fridays 9am to 2:50pm with Jennifer Lezan.   Great first course for Fashion Merchandisers and for Fashion Designers setting up their own businesses.    Learn to create effective window and store displays that sell!   Class starts February 17th.  To register with out the Fashi 1105 prerequisite or to learn how to pay in district tuition,  contact Sharon Scalise at scalise@cod.eduphoto 2 (1).

Clothing Construction I starts Feb 13th

Fash 1201-001 Clothing Construction I,  Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9:50pm with Ellen Hetlund.   Required first course for Fashion Design students.   Life skill or elective course for other Fashion majors. Digital Fashion – starts Feb 13th

Fashi 1125-002 Digital Fashion Presentation meets Mondays 8am to 12:50pm with Vin Reed.  This elective course is perfect for those interested in using Photoshop and Illustrator for their portfolios, illustrations, trend reports and other fashion presentations.   Perfect for Visual Merchandising and Fashion  Design and Merchandising students.  Sign up today!  Email Sharon Scalise for additional information. scalise@cod.edu.

Need student assistance on Friday February 3rd! for FCCLA competition

Please volunteer for the following on Friday February 3rd.  The Fashion department is hosting the regional FCCLA Competition and we are expecting 500 High School students competing in Fashion Construction, Visual Merchandising, Culinary, Interior Design and more

Student Ambassadors:  Friday, Feb. 3rd. 7:45am – 9am

Assist students to their competition classrooms on campus.  Meet at SRC 1007

Student Judges for Visual Merchandising:  Friday, Feb 3rd.  9:30am to 1pm (you really can do both!). Judge HS competition for Visual Merchandising students – Ideal if you have had the Visual Merchandising course,  Design Principles or Fashion Design courses.  Meet outside the bookstore.
