The American Sewing Guild will be offering the following workshops at College of DuPage, please pay directly to their website.
“I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. My
grandmother and my mother sewed, but it was my Aunt Vi,
an avid sewer and prolific knitter, who taught me the basics.
She helped me make my first skirt for a 4-H project and
insisted I rip out and redo those crooked seams until they
were perfect! That led to many more projects for 4-H Dress
Revue fashion show and county fairs, as well as additions to
my closet to feed my fashion-obsessed heart.
Years later, my sewing career was launched when I
got a part time job at an independent fabric store in a suburb
of Chicago.”
