LOOK BOOK PHOTO SHOOT

COD Fashion Studies Department
Sunday, June 11th, Vin Reed will photograph the challenge winners with models at the College of DuPage in order to create a Look Book about the contest. All participants will have access to digital photos, digital look book and designers will also receive a hard copy to celebrate their achievement.
Designers: Your garments need to be dropped off at COD in SRC1007 by Thursday June 9th, they must be pressed and in a bag with your name on it. Sharon will be available on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-10. Email me with any issues.
You do not need to be at the photo shoot.
Models and Hair and Makeup Team: Please meet in SRC1008 at 10am for hair and makeup, bring a variety of shoes and lingerie for the shoot.
Stylists: Please assist Vin Reed and models to stage the photo shoots.

Eight Fashion Studies students at College of DuPage earned honors during the annual student fashion show “Dimensions.” Click here for photos.
Theadora Iacobellis (Elmhurst, above right) also received a $5,000 scholarship from theFashion Group International of Chicago.
The award recipients are Ibtisam Younis (Glen Ellyn), Most Outstanding Freshman Designer; Whitney Stahl (Lisle), Runner-Up, Most Outstanding Freshman Designer; Quang Tran (Carol Stream), Most Outstanding Sophomore Designer; Li Sheng (Chicago), Runner-Up, Most Outstanding Sophomore Designer; Theadora Iacobellis (Elmhurst), Judges Choice – Outstanding Individual Garment; Ellen Swartz (Streamwood), Judges Choice – Outstanding Individual Garment; Shelly Gupta (Naperville), Outstanding Individual Garment; and Jackie Rose Bullard (Lisle), Judges Choice – Creativity.
In addition, regional high school students were invited to submit their designs for a College of DuPage faculty critique. The following awards were presented during “Dimensions”: Anelise Walker from Neuqua Valley High School, Best Embellishment; Izabelle Neuen Kirchen from Metea Valley High School, Best Construction; and Gabriella Delson from Hinsdale Central High School, Overall Creativity.

Enjoy a summer filled with dying and printing in the College of DuPage Textile Studio. Experiment with synthetic and natural dye processes on different fiber contents. Shibori, Sashiko, Batik, Block/Stencil, Rust and Ice dying, Eco Printing and Digital Printing Methods will be covered in this 8 week class. Samples, small projects and a final 2 piece collection will be created by students.
The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-9:50pm, starting June 6th. Open studio time will be held from 4-6pm, followed by lectures, demos and workshop from 6-9:50pm, so don’t worry if you can’t arrive until 6pm,(but it would be great to arrive at 4pm on the first day.)
